My mirror brought a lot of joy to the people I photographed. It was truly amazing how quickly people would drop their guard and let me into their lives and into their thoughts. These elder !Kung San women ere on their was to gather berries when they stopped to have a look in the mirror. The laughter and joking erupted spontaneously and I had to ask them if I could take their picture. They agreed, and laughed their way through the session as they watched their reflections elongate and compress in my magic mirror.
