EchoGoro, who is seen facing the camera, declared herself me best friend. In honoring that friendship, she requested that I begin each day by photographing her first. As a result, I have more photographs of EchoGoro than any other person I photographed in Africa---which was fine with me. I enjoyed her outgoing character tremendously. Her energy was so vibrant that she frequently pulled other people into the picture-taking experience, as in this photograph. Pictured are EchoGoro and her friend Atuquoi. What I love most about this photograph is how these two look like, "Girlfriends" from anywhere in the world, just having a good time. During this session, they never stopped laughing, joking and teasing me.
